KUALA LUMPUR (March 9) – Suria KLCC is celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri with a heritage-focused campaign that highlights traditional crafts, cultural performances, and festive installations, transforming the mall’s Centre Court into a vibrant bougainvillea garden display.
Francis Tan, executive director and CEO of Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd, said the campaign, in collaboration with Sofia Iman and inspired by the narrative Penjaga Warisan, aims to both showcase and preserve Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage. “As Malaysia welcomes Visit Malaysia 2026, we are proud to position the KLCC Precinct as a premier platform for international visitors to experience the authenticity of our heritage,” he added.
The campaign runs until April 5 and features a traditional Malay wakaf structure encircled by a bougainvillea installation at Centre Court and Esplanade KLCC, incorporating 1,710 meters of hand-stamped batik crafted by Sofia Iman. Visitors can watch live songket weaving demonstrations using the traditional Terengganu kek loom and enjoy interactive workshops such as batik painting and flower arrangement sessions. Traditional games like congkak and batu seremban, along with gamelan and Zapin dance performances, complete the festive experience.
Sofia Iman founder Faralina Abdul Wahab said the initiative provides a platform to honor artisans and share Malaysian craftsmanship with a wider audience, blending heritage with modern interpretations for everyday life.
Shoppers at Suria KLCC spending RM2,500 in two receipts will receive a RM100 shopping e-voucher and festive Hari Raya packets, while purchases of RM1,000 in e-vouchers qualify for an additional RM100 e-voucher.
