TWRP-C3E ILM OCF1 Acoustic Enclosure -
Factory Acceptance Test
Overview
As part of the Tuas Water Reclamation Plant (TWRP-C3E) project in Singapore, ISTIQ was entrusted by Sanli M&E Engineering to deliver custom-engineered acoustic enclosures for high-performance ventilation systems. This particular Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) was conducted for the ILM OCF1 Fan Acoustic Enclosure, one of several units designed to meet stringent environmental and occupational noise limits in a densely populated urban infrastructure project.
Objective
The FAT aimed to verify that the acoustic enclosure:
Complied with dimensional and structural requirements.
Met or exceeded the specified noise reduction target of 25 dBA.
Ensured the system’s performance was aligned with noise compliance standards.
FAT Results & Performance
Noise measurements were conducted using Brüel & Kjær Type 2270 Sound Level Meter and calibrator, with all readings taken at a height of 1.3 meters and 1 meter from the enclosure. The key findings were:
Conclusion
The successful completion of this FAT reinforces ISTIQ’s position as a trusted acoustic solution provider for complex engineering projects across Southeast Asia. Our precision in design, fabrication, and testing showcases our capability to deliver world-class noise control systems, even under tight regulatory and performance constraints.
