Active Ingredient

• Gentamicin Sulfate 5.0 mg/g: An aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, effective against a broad spectrum of ocular pathogens.

Indications

• Treatment of bacterial infections of the anterior eye, including:

  • Conjunctivitis

  • Keratitis

  • Blepharitis

  • Hordeolum (stye)

• Prophylaxis of ocular infections following trauma or surgery.

Instructions for Use

• Dosage: Apply approximately a 1 cm strip of ointment (0.1 mg of gentamicin sulfate) into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 2–3 times daily.

• Administration:

  1. Wash hands thoroughly.

  2. Tilt the head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a pouch.

  3. Place the tube near the eye without touching it.

  4. Squeeze the tube to dispense the ointment into the pouch.

  5. Close the eye and gently press the inner corner to prevent drainage.

  6. Wipe away any excess ointment with a clean tissue.

  7. Recap the tube immediately after use.

• Precautions:

  • Do not wear contact lenses during treatment.

  • Avoid contaminating the tube tip.

  • Consult a healthcare professional before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you have pre-existing medical conditions.
