APPLAUD® 25WP

Is a systemic insecticide containing an active ingredient from the insect growth regulator (IGR) group, acting by contact and stomach poisoning to control rice planthoppers effectively during the nymph stage.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Use that does not follow the label instructions is an offence under the Pesticides Act 1974.

Harvest Interval

Do not harvest rice within at least 14 days after the last spray.

Mixing Instructions

Use a Jacto PJ-18 knapsack sprayer. Fill the spray tank halfway with clean water.

Mix the required amount of APPLAUD® 25WP according to the recommended rate in the table with one litre of clean water in a separate container and stir until completely dissolved.

Then pour the mixture into the spray tank and add the remaining clean water required and mix well.

Do not use at a higher rate than recommended.

Do not store the spray mixture of APPLAUD® 25WP in the sprayer tank.

Spraying Instructions

Spray when the number of rice planthopper nymphs exceeds the action threshold level (ATL).

For effective control, spray thoroughly covering both the upper and lower leaf surfaces.

Repeat spraying every 21 days if necessary.

Do not use the pesticide more than four (4) sprays per season.

If repeated treatment is required, use APPLAUD® 25WP alternately with insecticides from different mode-of-action groups.

Re-Entry Interval (REI)

Do not enter treated areas within 12 hours after spraying.

WARNING

Hazard to Humans

Harmful if swallowed.
Avoid inhalation of dust or spray mist.
Avoid contact with skin or eyes.

When handling this product DO NOT eat, drink or smoke.

After handling the product, ensure the container is tightly closed and store it in a locked place with good ventilation, dry and cool conditions.

Wash the sprayer thoroughly after use.
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and plenty of water.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

When handling this product, wear appropriate PPE, including:

• gloves

• goggles

• rubber boots

• face shield

• respiratory protection where necessary

Environmental Hazard

This product is toxic to aquatic organisms and fish.

DO NOT contaminate ponds, rivers, or waterways.

Symptoms of Poisoning

• Skin irritation

• Watery eyes

• Weakness

Emergency Treatment

Remove contaminated clothing.

If the product contacts the skin, wash with soap and water.

If it enters the eyes, rinse with clean water for at least 15 minutes.

If inhaled, move the patient to fresh air immediately.

If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately.

Disposal Instructions

Triple rinse the empty container three (3) times before disposal.

Do not reuse pesticide containers for storing food or drinking water.
