Will this work on my Astro Ultra Box? Yes! The Ultra Box and PVR models require stable 12V power. Our 2.5A version is an upgrade over the original, ensuring your box has plenty of power for recording and 4K streaming.

 My old adapter says 12V 1.5A. Can I use this 2.5A one? Absolutely. Amperage is "pull" based. Your decoder will only take the 1.5A it needs, but the 2.5A capacity means the adapter won't have to work as hard, so it stays cooler and lasts much longer.
