Each tablet contains 20 mg of rosuvastatin calcium (equivalent to about 20.8 mg of rosuvastatin calcium salt).
- Indication:
Used to lower high cholesterol and triglycerides. It helps reduce total cholesterol, LDL ("bad" cholesterol), and apolipoprotein B, while increasing HDL ("good" cholesterol). It’s prescribed for:
• Primary hyperlipidemia and mixed dyslipidemia
• Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia
• To reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients at high risk
- Instructions:
• Typical starting dose: 10 mg once daily, adjustable after 4 weeks based on response.
• Can be increased up to 40 mg daily in high-risk patients.
• For some patients (e.g., Asian ethnicity or risk of muscle issues), start at 5 mg daily.
• Take with or without food.
• Do not split the tablet.
