The Aggregate Crushing Value (ACV) Test assesses coarse aggregates' strength and resistance to crushing under a progressively applied compressive pressure. This standard approach, as outlined in BS 812-110 and IS 2386 (Part IV), is commonly utilized in pavement and concrete design when aggregate stability is critical. The test calculates the proportion of crushed material, which indicates how well aggregates will withstand large loads from vehicle traffic or structural components.
