Indication:
Actrapid is used to treat diabetes mellitus. It helps control blood sugar levels by replacing the insulin that the body does not produce sufficiently3. It is often used in combination with long-acting insulin or other diabetes medications.
Instructions:
- Dosage: Individualized based on the patient's needs. Typically, the dose is between 0.3 and 1.0 IU/kg/day.
- Administration: Injected subcutaneously (under the skin) in the abdominal wall, thigh, gluteal region, or deltoid region. Rotate injection sites to reduce the risk of skin changes.
- Timing: Inject 20-30 minutes before a meal. Follow with a meal or snack containing carbohydrates within 30 minutes.
- Storage: Store in a refrigerator (2-8°C). Do not freeze.
- Precautions: Monitor blood sugar levels regularly. Do not use if you have low blood sugar levels4. Inform your doctor if you have any kidney, liver, or heart problems.
