Melanez Suppositories 1g contain 1 gram of Mesalazine as the active ingredient. Mesalazine is an anti-inflammatory agent used to treat inflammatory bowel diseases. 

Indication:
Melanez Suppositories 1g are indicated for the treatment of ulcerative proctitis, which is inflammation of the anus and rectum. They are also used for the maintenance of remission in Crohn's ileo-colitis.
Instructions:

1. Administration: Insert one suppository rectally (through the anus) once daily, preferably at bedtime.
2. Dosage: The recommended dose is one suppository (1g) per day.
3. Precautions:
   • Do not use if you are allergic to salicylates (e.g., aspirin) or any ingredient in the suppository.
   • Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems.
   • Ensure adequate fluid intake to prevent kidney stones.
