Content (Composition)

• Active ingredient: Pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate 40 /mg per tablet — a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid production

• Healing erosive gastro oesophageal reflux disease (GORD) and maintaining remission.
• Treating duodenal and gastric ulcers, including NSAID-induced ulcers, often as part of H. /pylori eradication therapy alongside antibiotics.
• Managing Zollinger Ellison syndrome or other pathological gastric hypersecretory conditions

• Route & Dosage Form: Oral use only. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not chew, crush, or break it. It’s preferable to take at a fixed time each day, usually one hour before meals.
• Food Guidance: Pantoprazole tablets may be taken with or without food, but delayed-release/gastro resistant formulations are usually advised before meals for optimal absorption.
• Missed Dose Instructions: If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember—unless near the next scheduled dose, in which case skip and resume normal schedule. Do not double dose.
• Treatment Duration:
  • For reflux oesophagitis or ulcers: typical course is up to 8 weeks, with a possible additional 8-week extension if healing has not occurred. Safety beyond 16 weeks is not well established.
  • For long-term hypersecretory conditions (e.g. Zollinger Ellison syndrome): dosage may be adjusted (often starting at 40 /mg once daily, with potential escalation) and continued indefinitely, as clinically required
