Ospamox 1000mg is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by amoxicillin-susceptible organisms, including:
Respiratory Tract Infections: Upper and lower airway infections such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, lung abscesses, and pertussis (in the incubation period and early stages).
Urinary Tract Infections: Conditions like acute and chronic pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, and asymptomatic bacteriuria during pregnancy.
Gastrointestinal Infections: Typhoid fever, paratyphoid, shigellosis, and infections of the biliary system (cholangitis, cholecystitis).
Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Including cellulitis and abscesses.
Gynecological Infections: Such as septic abortion and endometritis.
Prophylaxis: Short-term prevention of infections during surgical procedures, particularly in the oral cavity.
Others: Leptospirosis, listeriosis, and enterococcal endocarditis (in combination with an aminoglycoside).
Dosage: The dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional based on the type and severity of the infection.
Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient quantity of water; do not chew, crush, or break the tablet.
Timing: Can be taken with or without food.
Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember. If it's almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose—do not double the dose.
Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have any allergies, kidney disease, or are taking other medications.
