Content

• Active Ingredient: Each tablet contains 1000 mg of levetiracetam, an antiepileptic medication used to treat various types of seizures.
• Excipients: Includes sodium croscarmellose, macrogol 6000, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide, macrogol/PEG 3350, and talc.

• Monotherapy: Treatment of partial onset seizures with or without secondary generalisation in adults and adolescents from 16 years of age with newly diagnosed epilepsy.
• Adjunctive Therapy:
  • Partial onset seizures with or without secondary generalisation in adults, adolescents, children, and infants from 1 month of age with epilepsy.
  • Myoclonic seizures in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy.
  • Primary generalised tonic-clonic seizures in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age with idiopathic generalised epilepsy.

• Dosage:
  • Monotherapy:
    • Adults and adolescents ≥16 years: Start with 250 mg twice daily, increasing to 500 mg twice daily after 2 weeks. The dose can be further increased by 250 mg twice daily every 2 weeks, up to a maximum of 1500 mg twice daily.
  • Adjunctive Therapy:
    • Adults and adolescents ≥18 years and ≥50 kg: Start with 500 mg twice daily, increasing to a maximum of 1500 mg twice daily.
    • Children 4–11 years and adolescents 12–17 years weighing <50 kg: Start with 10 mg/kg twice daily, increasing to a maximum of 30 mg/kg twice daily.
• Administration: Take the tablet whole with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food.
• Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.
