Introduction
The term “accident” can be defined as an unplanned event that interrupts the completion of an activity, and that may (or may not) include injury or property damage. There are many reasons to conduct a workplace accident investigation. Most importantly accident investigations are conducted to find out the cause of accidents and to prevent similar accidents in the future.
The Safety Committee whose members are well trained and knowledgeable will definitely contribute towards the success of this program. In order for this effectiveness, the Management plays a major role in supporting to the requirements under the OSH Act 1994, OSH (Amendment) Act 2022 and the NADOPOD Regulations 2004.
Learning Outcomes / Benefits
Upon completion of this program, the participants should be able to:
- Gain enhanced knowledge on the requirements of OSH legislation in Malaysia – OSHA 1994, SHC e.g. 1996 & NADOPOD Reg. 2004
- Determine the cost and effects of an accident
- Recognize hazards through effective OSH inspection and able to recommend preventive measures to prevent accidental losses
- Write and compile the accident reports based on the NADOPOD Reg. 2004 / JKKP Forms No. 6 to 10
- Minimize losses and maximize productivity, quality and profitability through effective implementation of OSH Management system
