On 17 January 2026, the technical team from EKG (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd carried out comprehensive HVAC and cooling system maintenance. The works focused on improving system efficiency, restoring equipment performance, and extending the operational life of the cooling tower and associated units.
The maintenance activities included:
The existing compressor was removed and replaced with a new 25HP compressor to restore full cooling capacity. Proper installation and testing ensured optimal performance, efficiency, and system reliability.
The unit condenser was inspected and cleaned to remove mineral scaling and deposits that reduce heat transfer efficiency. Chemical and mechanical cleaning restored proper condenser performance, helping maintain energy efficiency and prolonging equipment life.
The cooling coil underwent chemical cleaning to remove dirt, algae, and debris buildup. This process enhances heat exchange efficiency, improves airflow, and ensures consistent cooling performance.
Worn or malfunctioning valves were replaced to maintain precise flow control throughout the system. Properly functioning valves ensure balanced water distribution, prevent leaks, and support overall HVAC efficiency.
Faulty pressure switches were replaced to ensure accurate system monitoring and protection. Proper pressure switch operation prevents overloading, improves safety, and maintains reliable system operation.
These maintenance activities are critical for the long-term performance of cooling towers and HVAC systems. Timely replacement of key components, scaling removal, and cleaning helps reduce energy consumption, prevent breakdowns, and maintain consistent cooling performance.
At EKG (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, all maintenance works, including compressor replacement, condenser scaling removal, cooling coil cleaning, valve replacement, and pressure switch replacement, are carried out with precision and attention to system reliability. Each task is executed to ensure efficient operation and long-term durability of the HVAC system.
