In most organizations, they are all "safety" Many of us have worked or cured organizations that consider anyone wearing a helmet and yellow bracelet to be "Safety"!

But the truth is that there's a big difference between a Safety Specialist, a Safety Officer, and a Safety Inspector — even if they all work for the same goal: to keep people and places safe.

▪️A Safety Specialist is the mind that designs systems and policies, plans actions, and conducts risk studies.

I mean, he is the one who puts the "road" that the rest walk on.

▪️A Safety Officer is the daily field supervisor, monitoring implementation, and making sure that employees are complying with all safety requirements.

He is the one who is always in the text between the administration and the field, transmitting, coordinating, and making sure that everything is in order.

▪️The Safety Inspector is the eye that inspects, reviews and documents, looks for violations before accidents occur, and reports to management.

It means: "Field Investigator" for safety.

Unfortunately, in most organizations, everyone calls for "Safety" without distinction of name or role! 😅

This causes confusion in tasks and responsibilities, and the real purpose of each job is lost.

Awareness of these differences is crucial to building an effective safety system — because success starts with clarity of roles.
