Escitalopram oxalate (equivalent to 10 /mg escitalopram)

 

Indications:

Espran 10 /mg is prescribed for the treatment of:

1. Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)

   • Helps relieve symptoms such as persistent sadness, fatigue, poor concentration, and changes in appetite or sleep.

2. Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

   • Reduces excessive worry, tension, and restlessness.

3. Panic Disorder

   • Prevents or lessens the frequency and severity of panic attacks.

4. Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia)

   • Eases symptoms like fear of social situations, embarrassment, and avoidance behavior.

5. Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) (off-label use in some regions)

6. Dosage:

   • Standard adult dose: One tablet (10 /mg) taken once daily.

   • The dose may be adjusted by your doctor (range: 5–20 /mg/day) depending on your condition and response.

7. How to Take:

   • Take with or without food, at the same time each day.

   • Swallow whole with water—do not crush or chew.

8. Missed Dose:

   • Take as soon as remembered.

   • If close to next dose, skip the missed one—do not double dose.
