Indication
Used to treat unproductive (dry/irritative) cough, especially coughs that are bothersome but do not produce mucus
Instruction
Oral administration: take the tablet with or without food, as preferred or prescribed
Dosing frequency: commonly administered in divided doses across the day (e.g. morning, midday, and night), especially for adults and children over 12 /years old
Precautions: contraindicated in children under 2 /years, pregnancy and lactation; avoid use with MAO inhibitors; caution in conditions like hypertension, prostate enlargement, urinary obstruction, glaucoma, arrhythmia, asthma or chronic lung disease
May cause somnolence or dry mouth; advise patients to avoid driving or operating machinery if affected
