Jotun Penguard Express MIO is a fast-drying, high-build epoxy coating specially enhanced with Micaceous Iron Oxide (MIO) pigments to deliver superior barrier protection and durability. Designed for new construction projects, this high-solid epoxy coating can be applied as a primer, midcoat, finish coat, or as a single-coat system in atmospheric environments.
The inclusion of MIO pigments provides an enhanced barrier effect to improve corrosion resistance and prolong coating life. Penguard Express MIO features very fast dry-to-recoat and dry-to-handle times, helping to accelerate project schedules without sacrificing performance.
This coating is suitable for use on properly prepared carbon steel, aluminium, concrete, and galvanised steel substrates, and can be applied at sub-zero surface temperatures. It is designed for demanding environments, with suitability up to C5 corrosivity category.
