What is a C Channel?

A C channel is a long metal strip shaped like the letter "C" when you look at it from the side. It has one flat side and two edges (called flanges) that stick up. It’s usually made from steel or aluminum.
 

 What Is It Used For?

C channels are used in many building and hardware projects. Here are some simple uses:

1. Support Frames – To build strong frames for buildings, sheds, or trailers.

2. Wall & Ceiling Support – To hold up drywall, panels, or cladding.

3. Mounting Things – To attach shelves, pipes, or electrical equipment.
