Instructions for Use:
Input Voltage (VIN):
- Ensure the input voltage is within the range of 2.7V to 40V.
- The input voltage should be stable and free from excessive ripple or noise.
Output Voltage (VOUT):
- The output voltage can be adjusted between 5V and 15V.
- Use the external feedback resistor network to set the desired output voltage.
Output Current (IOUT):
- The device can provide a continuous output current up to 3A, with a typical value of 1.5A.
- Ensure proper heat dissipation if operating at high currents.
Switching Frequency (fSW):
- The switching frequency is adjustable between 100kHz and 500kHz.
- Set the frequency using an external resistor connected to the RT/CT pin.
Quiescent Current (IQ):
- The quiescent current is typically 2.5mA and can go up to 5mA under certain conditions.
- This current is drawn even when there is no load on the output.
Dropout Voltage (VDROPOUT):
- The dropout voltage is the difference between the input and output voltages when the output is under load.
- It is typically 1.2V and can go up to 2.5V at 1A output current.
Efficiency (η):
- The efficiency of the converter is typically 85% when operating at 12V input, 5V output, and 1A output current.
- Efficiency can vary based on input voltage, output voltage, and load conditions.
Operating Temperature (Toperating):
- The device can operate within the temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
- Ensure adequate cooling if operating in high-temperature environments.
Storage Temperature (Tstorage):
- The device can be stored in temperatures ranging from -65°C to 150°C.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures for extended periods.
Additional Notes:
- Always use appropriate decoupling capacitors on both the input and output sides to ensure stability and reduce noise.
- Refer to the datasheet for detailed information on external component selection and layout guidelines.
