Montelukast sodium
Asthator 10mg contains Montelukast sodium, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, and is used for:
Asthma (Chronic Treatment & Prevention)
Helps control symptoms of asthma such as wheezing and shortness of breath.
Reduces the number and severity of asthma attacks.
Allergic Rhinitis (Seasonal & Perennial)
Relieves symptoms like sneezing, runny or itchy nose, nasal congestion, and itchy/watery eyes.
Suitable for both seasonal (hay fever) and year-round allergies.
Prevention of Exercise-Induced Bronchoconstriction (EIB)
Helps prevent breathing difficulties during or after physical activity in patients aged 15 years and above.
Dosage:
Adults and adolescents (≥15 years): One 10mg tablet once daily, taken in the evening.
Take with or without food.
Exercise-Induced Bronchospasm (EIB):
Take one tablet at least 2 hours before exercise.
Do not take an extra dose within 24 hours of another.
Important Guidelines:
Do not use for sudden asthma attacks (it is not a rescue medication).
Continue taking daily even if symptoms improve.
If you miss a dose: take it when you remember. If it's near your next dose, skip it. Do not double-dose.
Store in a dry place below 30°C.
