- Highest education certificate
- Official transcript issued by the graduating school
- TOEFL or IELTS certificate (for non-native English speakers)
- All materials must be in Chinese or English. Materials in other languages must be accompanied by notarized Chinese or English translations

| Remarks |
- Category A and Category B cannot be applied for simultaneously
- Those who have already received Chinese Government Scholarship or Shanghai Municipal Government Foreign Student Scholarship are not eligible to apply
- If other types of university-level international student scholarships are received, the highest amount will be applied, and they cannot be received concurrently
- Current students must participate in annual review (every September). Eligible students can receive awards for a maximum of 4-5 academic years (based on the program duration as the maximum award period)
