Indication
Used in adult patients with Type /2 diabetes mellitus, particularly overweight individuals, when dietary and lifestyle interventions alone are insufficient. It can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other oral antidiabetic agents or insulin
Instruction
Take one 750 /mg tablet once daily, preferably with the evening meal, to reduce GI side effects
Swallow the tablet whole—do not chew, crush, or break it, to preserve the extended release mechanism
Dose titration: If starting Glumet XR fresh, begin at 750 /mg once daily; if switching from immediate-release metformin, maintain equivalent total daily dose. Dose adjustments should be made every 10–15 days, with a maximum recommended dose of 2 tablets (1,500 /mg) once daily
