Hilti CP 636 Firestop Mortar is a cement-based fire protection solution designed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke through large openings in walls and floors. It is particularly effective in sealing penetrations involving cables, cable trays, and non-combustible pipes.

Surface Preparation: Clean and pre-moisten the sides of the opening. Ensure that cables and cable trays are dry and free from dust, oil, or grease.
Mixing: Mix CP 636 firestop mortar in a mortar-to-water ratio of about 3:1 by volume. Pour water first, then add CP 636 into the bucket. Mix thoroughly using a drilling machine and mixer. Do not add any other binding agents or additives.
Application: Apply the ready-mixed mortar with a trowel or pump into the prepared opening. Compact the mortar to eliminate gaps and voids. Smooth the surface as with ordinary concrete.
Form Removal: Depending on the consistency, forms can typically be removed after 4 hours for wall applications.
