Contents

• Active Ingredient: Each capsule contains 120 mg of orlistat, a lipase inhibitor that works by blocking the absorption of dietary fats in the gastrointestinal tract.

Indications

• Treat obesity in patients with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 kg/m² or higher, or in overweight patients (BMI ≥28 kg/m²) with associated risk factors such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, or dyslipidemia. 
• Aid in weight maintenance after initial weight loss. 
• Reduce the risk of weight regain after prior weight loss.

Instructions for Use

• Dosage: Take one 120 mg capsule with water immediately before, during, or up to one hour after each main meal containing fat. 
• Dietary Recommendations: Follow a nutritionally balanced, mildly hypocaloric diet that contains approximately 30% of calories from fat. 
• Missed Dose: If a meal is missed or contains no fat, omit the dose of Xenical. Do not take two doses to make up for a missed dose. 
• Duration of Treatment: Treatment should be discontinued after 12 weeks if patients have been unable to lose at least 5% of their body weight since the start of therapy. 
• Supplementation: Consider taking a multivitamin supplement containing fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) at least 2 hours before or after taking Xenical, as the medication may reduce the absorption of these vitamins.
