Instructions for Using CD4060:

1. Power Supply:

   • Connect V_CC to the positive supply voltage (3V to 18V).
   • Connect GND to the ground.

2. Oscillator Configuration:

   • Connect a capacitor (C1) between pins 9 and 10.
   • Connect a resistor (R1) between pin 10 and 11.
   • Connect another capacitor (C2) between pin 11 and ground.
   • The frequency of the oscillator can be calculated using the formula: [ f = frac{2.3 times R1 times C1} ]

3. Output Selection:

   • The CD4060 has 14 outputs (Q4 to Q13) which provide binary counts from 2^{4 to 2}13.
   • Use the appropriate output based on the desired count.

4. Reset Function:

   • Pin 12 is the reset input. Connect it to V_CC through a pull-up resistor to keep the counter running.
   • To reset the counter, connect this pin to ground.

5. Clock Inhibit:

   • Pin 13 is the clock inhibit input. Connect it to V_CC to enable the oscillator.
   • Connect it to ground to stop the oscillator.

6. Output Load:

   • Ensure that the load connected to the output does not exceed the maximum output current ratings.
   • Use external buffers or drivers if driving high-current loads.

7. Decoupling Capacitors:

   • Place a 0.1μF ceramic capacitor close to the V_CC and GND pins to filter out noise and stabilize the power supply.

8. Handling Precautions:

   • Handle the IC with care to avoid static damage.
   • Store the IC in anti-static packaging when not in use.
