Instructions for Use:

1. Power Supply:

   • Ensure the supply voltage (V_CC) is within the range of 2.0 V to 6.0 V.
   • Connect the ground pin (GND) to the common ground.

2. Input Signals:

   • The input high voltage (V_IH) should be at least 3.5 V when V_CC is 5 V or higher.
   • The input low voltage (V_IL) should not exceed 1.5 V when V_CC is 5 V or lower.
   • Input currents (I_IH and I_IL) should not exceed 1.0 μA.

3. Output Signals:

   • The output high voltage (V_OH) will be close to V_CC when the output is sourcing current.
   • The output low voltage (V_OL) will be close to 0 V when the output is sinking current.
   • The maximum output source current (I_OH) is 0.4 mA.
   • The maximum output sink current (I_OL) is 8.0 mA.

4. Timing:

   • The propagation delay time (t_pd) is the time it takes for a change in the input signal to affect the output signal. It should be between 15 ns and 45 ns at V_CC = 4.5 V and f_CLK = 1 MHz.

5. Power Consumption:

   • The total power consumption (P_tot) should not exceed 10 mW under typical operating conditions.

6. Handling:

   • Handle the 74HC4040AP with care to avoid static damage.
   • Ensure all connections are secure and free from short circuits.

7. Storage:

   • Store the device in a dry, cool place to prevent moisture damage.
