Hydro-Air HM Series AODD Pump
Air-Operated Diaphragm Pump is a new type of fluid transfer equipment and is currently one of the most innovative pump types in the domestic market. Powered by compressed air, it is capable of handling various corrosive liquids, liquids containing particles, as well as high-viscosity, volatile, flammable, and highly toxic liquids, ensuring complete suction transfer.
The diaphragm pump is available in multiple specifications, with inlet and outlet sizes of 1/4″, 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″, 1.5″, 2″ and 3″. Wetted part materials include aluminum alloy, ductile cast iron, polypropylene, and stainless steel. Diaphragm materials are available in different types such as NBR (Buna-N) rubber, neoprene rubber, polyethylene, Santoprene rubber, polyurethane rubber, Viton (FKM), PTFE, and PVDF to meet the requirements of various liquid media.
- Performance Benefits
Air-operated diaphragm pumps can transfer not only flowing liquids and dry powders, but also certain media that are difficult to flow. They combine many advantages of self-priming pumps, submersible pumps, canned motor pumps, slurry pumps, and impurity pumps.
- No priming water is required. The suction lift can reach up to 7 m, the discharge head up to 80 m, and the outlet pressure is ≥ 0.8 MPa.
- Wide flow passage with excellent passing capability, allowing solids with a maximum particle diameter of up to 9.4 mm to pass through. Minimal wear occurs when pumping slurry or impurities.
- The discharge head and flow rate can be adjusted through the air supply pressure (air pressure range: 0.1 ~ 0.84 MPa).
- Operating temperature range: 5°C to 65°C.
- The pump has no rotating parts and no shaft seal. The diaphragm completely separates the pumped medium from the moving components and working medium, preventing leakage to the outside environment. Therefore, when handling toxic, volatile, or corrosive media, it will not cause environmental pollution or endanger personal safety.
- No electricity is required, making it safe and reliable for use in flammable and explosive environments.
- The pump can operate while fully submerged in the medium.
- Easy to operate and highly reliable. Starting and stopping only requires opening or closing the air valve. Even if the pump runs dry for a long time or stops suddenly due to unexpected conditions, it will not be damaged. In the event of overload, the pump will automatically stop for self-protection and automatically restart once normal conditions are restored.
- Simple structure with few wearing parts. The pump is easy to install and maintain. The pumped medium does not come into contact with moving parts such as the air valve and connecting rod. Unlike other pump types, performance does not gradually decline due to the wear of rotors, pistons, gears, or vanes.
- Suitable for transferring high-viscosity liquids (up to 10,000 cP).
- The pump does not require lubricating oil. Even during dry running, it will not be damaged, which is one of its key advantages.
