In the high-particulate environment of Malaysian cities, these filters quickly accumulate dust, soot, and biological contaminants. Neglecting regular replacement doesn't just lower air quality—it increases "Static Pressure," forcing your fans to work harder and significantly reducing the thermal energy you recover from the exhaust stream.

Standard HRV units often come with basic G4 "bug screens." To meet modern health standards and protect the narrow air passages of the heat exchanger core, we recommend upgrading the media:
MERV 13/14 Pleated Filters: These capture up to 90% of fine particles (PM2.5). By stopping these particles before they reach the heat exchanger, we prevent "Fouling," where dust bakes onto the plates and acts as an insulator, killing your energy recovery rates.
Deep-Pleat Technology: Where the HRV cabinet allows, we install 4-inch or 12-inch deep filters. These have a much larger surface area, which lowers the initial pressure drop and extends the service life from 3 months to nearly a year.
