Before any physical work begins, we follow strict safety protocols.
Power Isolation: We disconnect the mains power and lock out the control panel.
Residual Charge Discharge: ESP cells hold a latent electrical charge even after power is off. We use insulated grounding tools to safely discharge the internal capacitors, preventing electric shock to our technicians.
The "Ionizer" and "Collector" sections of the ESP are prone to heavy "Grease Loading."
Specialized Soak Tanks: We remove the internal cells and submerge them in a heated, specialized chemical solution. This strips away baked-on grease and carbonized oil that manual scrubbing cannot reach.
Drying and Inspection: Once cleaned, cells are pressure-washed and thoroughly dried. We inspect for bent plates or broken ionizing wires, which are the primary causes of "Arcing" and system faults.
High-Voltage Transformer Check: We test the power pack (transformer) to ensure it is delivering the correct voltage (typically 12kV for ionizing and 6kV for collecting).
Insulator Restoration: We clean and inspect the ceramic or polymer insulators. Even a small film of grease on an insulator can cause a "Ground Fault" that shuts down the entire ecology unit.
Control Panel Troubleshooting: We clear any persistent "Fault" or "Service" lights and verify that the safety interlocks (door switches) are functioning correctly.
