1.  Is this for CAT5e or CAT6? These AA-grade plugs are universal for most standard unshielded cables. While they are a perfect fit for CAT5e, they also work with CAT6 cables that use standard 24AWG wire diameters.

2. Do I need a special tool to use these? Yes. You will need a standard RJ45 Modular Crimping Tool to push the gold pins into the wires and lock the plug onto the cable jacket.
