1.  Is this the same as a standard AV (Yellow/Red/White) cable? No. This is a Component (RGB) cable. It uses all three RCA plugs to carry a high-quality video signal. It does not carry audio. If your TV has Red, Green, and Blue ports, this is the correct cable for better picture quality.

2. How do I get sound? Because this cable uses all three connectors for video (RGB), you will need a separate audio source or a secondary 3.5mm audio cable if your device supports dual outputs.
