Cetirizine dihydrochloride 10 /mg per tablet
Cetrizin 10 /mg is indicated for the symptomatic relief of:
Allergic rhinitis — seasonal or perennial, including symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes and throat.
Chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives) — to reduce itching, swelling, and skin lesions.
Adults and children ≥ /12 years: 10 mg (1 tablet) once daily.
Children 6–12 years: 5 mg twice daily or 10 mg once daily.
Children 3–6 years: 2.5 mg twice daily or 5 mg once daily.
Renal impairment: Dosage should be reduced proportionally if creatinine clearance is low.
Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food.
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember unless it's near the next scheduled dose—do not double up.
Avoid driving or operating machinery if the drug causes drowsiness.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have kidney disease, epilepsy, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before starting the medicine.
Take at approximately the same time each day for consistent symptom control.
If drowsiness occurs, taking the tablet in the evening may help.
