a robust, hardware-based universal control surface designed to manage professional Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) cameras. It is heavily utilized in broadcasting, livestreaming, higher education, house of worship, and telemedicine setups
Core Hardware Specifications
- Ergonomic Controls: Features a multi-axis heavy-duty joystick for precise pan, tilt, and zoom movements, alongside 3 infinite rotation knobs dedicated to fine-tuning critical parameters like manual focus and exposure/brightness.
- Dedicated Channels: Outfitted with 7 physical camera shortcut buttons on the faceplate, allowing operators to switch active control instantly between 7 separate local feeds.

The controller is universal, supporting both traditional analog serial architectures and modern networked ecosystems:
- Supported Control Protocols: Incorporates native VISCA, Sony VISCA, Pelco-D, and Pelco-P protocols.
- Physical Interface I/O: Outfitted with back-panel connections for IP (RJ45), RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, and Micro USB.
- Scale Capacity: While the physical faceplate features 7 rapid-toggle buttons, the controller can address and scale up to 255 total PTZ cameras across an active IP network.
Integration and Configuration Notes
- Network Deployments: When using VISCA-over-IP, the controller and all target cameras must reside on the same LAN network subnet. Devices must be linked via a standard network switch or PoE router; standard cross-over network cables or direct camera-to-controller cabling will not function.
- Advanced Management: The device functions seamlessly alongside the proprietary Windows-based AVer PTZ Management Software, which permits remote system administration, firmware pushes, and configuration testing over serial or IP networks.
