Is this the same as the 2.5mm version?
No. While the 5.5mm outer diameter is the same, the inner pin on this model is 2.1mm. A 2.5mm plug will feel loose or not work at all, and a 2.1mm plug will not fit onto a 2.5mm pin. Always verify your adapter pin size!
