 Can I use this to switch between two different power sources? Yes. Because this is a DPDT switch, you can connect two different input sources and toggle which one is active, while keeping the positive and negative lines completely isolated from each other.

How do I mount this to my project box? The switch features a "top-mount" design. You simply cut a small rectangular slot for the black slider to pass through, and then use small screws through the holes in the metal ears to fasten the switch to the inside of your panel.

 Is this switch suitable for high-current motors? This switch is rated for up to 6A at 125V, which is sufficient for many small-to-medium appliances and motors. However, for high-torque industrial motors, we recommend using this switch to trigger a dedicated relay to ensure long-term contact life.
