The Solderless Breadboard is the industry-standard platform for building, testing, and modifying electronic circuits without the need for soldering. With 830 tie-points and integrated power rails, this high-quality project board is designed for rapid prototyping with microcontrollers like Arduino and Raspberry Pi, as well as complex analog and digital circuits.
830-Point Connection Grid: Features 630 tie-points in the central component area and 200 tie-points distributed across four integrated power rails.
Integrated Power Distribution: Equipped with two sets of dual power rails (positive and negative) marked with clear red and blue lines for easy identification and organized power management.
Alphanumeric Grid Labeling: Each column is labeled from 1 to 63 and each row is labeled 'a' through 'j', allowing for precise component placement and easy circuit mapping.
Expandable Interlocking Design: Built with molded-in tabs and slots, allowing you to snap multiple boards together to expand your prototyping surface for larger projects.
Self-Adhesive Mounting Base: Includes a high-strength adhesive foam pad on the back, enabling secure mounting to robot chassis or project workstations.
Internal Nickel-Plated Contacts: Features high-quality spring clips designed for reliable electrical conductivity and a long lifecycle of up to 50,000 insertions.
Tie-Points: 830 Points total.
Material: White ABS Plastic housing with Phosphor Bronze Nickel-Plated spring clips.
Dimensions: Standard full-size prototyping footprint.
Can I use this for high-speed digital signals? While great for most prototypes, breadboards have inherent capacitance and inductance. For high-speed signals (above 10MHz), we recommend keeping wire lengths short or moving to a soldered PCB.
How do I supply power to the rails? You can use standard jumper wires or a dedicated MB-102 Breadboard Power Supply Module, which is specifically shaped to plug directly into the ends of the power rails.
Is it okay to use stranded wire? It is difficult to insert stranded wire directly into the tie-points. We strongly recommend using solid-core jumper wires or DuPont cables with pre-crimped male pins to ensure a stable connection without damaging the internal clips.
