Our Ceramic Cartridge Fuses provide superior thermal and arc protection compared to standard glass fuses. Filled with high-grade sand or quartz to help quench internal electrical arcs, these fuses are designed for demanding applications where high-current interruptions may occur, ensuring your equipment and wiring remain safe from electrical faults.
We offer two standardized sizes to fit a wide variety of domestic and industrial fuse holders:
5 Amp
10 Amp
25 Amp
3 Amp / 5 Amp
10 Amp / 13 Amp
15 Amp / 16 Amp
20 Amp
High Breaking Capacity: Ceramic bodies withstand higher internal pressures and temperatures than glass, preventing the fuse from shattering during a major short circuit.
Precision Calibration: Each fuse is manufactured to strict BS1362 or IEC269 standards for accurate trip times.
Durable End Caps: Features nickel-plated brass or silver-plated copper end caps for high conductivity and long-term corrosion resistance.
Clear Identification: Amperage and voltage ratings are clearly printed on the ceramic body for easy verification during replacement.
Safe-Sync Arc Quenching: The internal filler helps cool and extinguish arcs instantly, providing faster and safer circuit interruption.
Voltage Rating: 250V AC.
Material: High-strength Ceramic Tube with sand filler.
Can I replace a glass fuse with a ceramic one? Yes, if the dimensions and amperage ratings match. Ceramic fuses are generally considered an upgrade because they offer a higher breaking capacity and better fire safety.
Why are there different sizes like 20mm and 25mm? These sizes are determined by the fuse holder in your device. 25mm fuses are almost exclusively used in UK-style power plugs, while 20mm is the worldwide standard for internal electronics.
How do I know if the fuse is blown? Unlike glass fuses, you cannot see through ceramic. You must use a multimeter to check for continuity. If the meter shows no circuit, the fuse is blown and must be replaced.
