CYFRA21-1 Test — Lung Cancer Marker

Introduction

CYFRA21-1 (Cytokeratin 19 fragment) is a tumor-associated antigen, commonly elevated in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), especially squamous carcinoma. It is used as a tumor marker for diagnosis support, treatment monitoring, and recurrence follow-up.

Note: Elevated CYFRA21-1 does not always indicate lung cancer. Benign conditions such as pulmonary inflammation, COPD, or renal impairment may also raise levels.
