Why is my bag melting instead of sealing? This usually happens if the timer setting is too high. Start with a low setting (1–3) and gradually increase it until you achieve a clean, firm seal without burning through the plastic.
How often should I replace the sealing cloth? The Nitto sealer cloth and heating wire are consumables. Replace them if the cloth appears burnt, wrinkled, or if the plastic starts sticking to the heating element. Using high-quality Nitto NITOFLON tape ensures longer intervals between replacements.
Does it consume a lot of electricity if I leave it plugged in? No. As an impulse sealer, it only draws power during the few seconds you are actively pressing the handle down. No power is consumed while the unit is in standby mode.
