The HDMI over Dual (2-Wire) CAT5e/6 Extender is a specialized AV solution designed for high-bandwidth signal distribution using two network cables. By splitting the HDMI signal across two CAT5e or CAT6 lines, this extender ensures stable, uncompressed transmission of 1080p Full HD video and multi-channel audio up to 30 meters (98 feet).
This "2-wire" design is ideal for legacy installations or environments where maintaining maximum signal integrity and HDCP compliance over mid-range distances is a priority.
Dual-Cable Reliability: Utilizes two network cables (Link 1 & Link 2) to provide the necessary bandwidth for high-definition video and data handshaking.
30M Full HD Extension: Reliably extends 1080p signals up to 30 meters, bypassing the distance limitations and costs of long-run HDMI cables.
Automatic Equalization: Built-in signal adjustment ensures optimal picture quality without requiring manual tuning or complex configuration.
No External Power Needed: Engineered to draw power directly from the HDMI source, keeping your installation clean and free of extra power adapters.
Full 3D & HDCP Support: Fully compatible with 3D content and standard HDCP protocols for seamless playback from Blu-ray players and consoles.
Compact Form Factor: Miniature design allows for discreet placement behind monitors, TVs, and wall-mounted displays.
Extension Distance: Up to 30 Meters (98ft).
Cable Requirement: Dual (2x) CAT5e or CAT6.
Resolution Support: 1080p Full HD, 1080i, 720p, 576p, 480p.
Connector Type: RJ45 Female to HDMI Male.
Color: High-visibility Blue.
Home Theater Upgrades: Replacing old, failing HDMI long-runs with reliable, easy-to-pull network cabling.
Office & Boardrooms: Connecting a conference table laptop to a wall-mounted display through existing wall conduits.
Education & Classrooms: Extending computer signals to projectors or interactive whiteboards across the room.
Retail Displays: Managing high-definition video feeds for digital signage where a 30m reach is required.
Why does this model require two cables? Standard HDMI signals carry a vast amount of data. This 2-wire design splits the high-speed video data and the "DDC" (the signal that identifies the TV to the source) onto separate cables to ensure 100% stability and compatibility at 30 meters.
Can I use different lengths for the two cables? No. For the system to function correctly, both CAT5e/6 cables must be exactly the same length. Differences in length will cause timing errors (skew) and result in no image or a flickering screen.
Does it matter which cable goes into which port? Yes. Both the Transmitter (TX) and Receiver (RX) have ports labeled Link 1 and Link 2. Ensure that the cable from Link 1 on the TX goes into Link 1 on the RX for a successful handshake.
