Can I use this for a standard mono guitar cable?
Yes, you can, but it is not recommended. A Mono (TS) plug is the standard for guitars. Using a Stereo plug may cause signal issues depending on the internal wiring of your guitar's jack.
Is this plug difficult to solder?
Because it has three terminals (TRS) in a compact space, it requires more precision than a mono plug. We recommend using a fine-tip soldering iron and checking for shorts between the Tip and Ring before closing the housing.
Will this fit my thicker speaker cables?
This plug is designed for shielded signal cables (up to 7mm). Heavy-duty, unshielded speaker cables may be too thick for the internal strain relief and housing entry.
