Get your fan spinning like new again! Our 450V CBB61 Series Capacitors are the industry-standard replacement for sluggish or non-starting fan motors. Equipped with flexible wire leads, these capacitors are designed for easy installation in tight spaces, making them the go-to choice for both professional electricians and DIY enthusiasts.
We stock every essential size to ensure a perfect match for your motor's torque requirements:
Small Fans / Speed Control: 1uF / 1.2uF / 1.25uF / 1.5uF / 1.8uF / 2uF
Standard Ceiling Fans: 2.2uF / 2.5uF / 3uF / 3.5uF / 4uF / 4.5uF / 5uF
Industrial & Exhaust Fans: 6uF / 8uF / 10uF / 12uF
Heavy Duty Motors: 14uF / 16uF / 18uF / 20uF
Ceiling Fans: Solve "humming" issues or the common problem of a fan that needs a manual push to start.
Exhaust & Ventilation Fans: Maintain high-speed air extraction in kitchens, bathrooms, and workshops.
Electric Motors: Ideal for start/run functions in small pumps, air conditioners, and power tools.
Range Hoods: Restore the suction power of kitchen ventilation systems.
High Voltage Protection: Rated at 450V AC, these capacitors offer a massive safety margin for 220V–240V systems, easily handling voltage surges.
CBB61 Metallized Film: Features self-healing technology that prevents permanent failure from minor electrical overstress.
Pre-Stripped Wire Leads: Flexible, heat-resistant wires allow for quick connection using wire nuts or solder, even in cramped motor housings.
Encapsulated Flame Retardant Shell: The plastic "box" housing is moisture-proof and flame-retardant for maximum household safety.
Wide Capacitance Range: From 1uF up to 20uF, we provide the exact value needed to maintain your motor’s factory-spec speed.
Quiet & Cool Operation: Low dissipation factor ensures the capacitor doesn't overheat, protecting your motor windings from damage.
Universal Fit: The compact rectangular design fits into the canopy or internal housing of almost all major fan brands.
Model: CBB61 (Metallized Polypropylene Film)

Configuration: 2-Wire Lead
Does the wire color matter?
No. These are Non-Polarized AC capacitors. You can connect either wire to either side of the circuit. There is no positive or negative.
Can I use a 450V capacitor to replace a 250V one?
Yes. Higher voltage ratings (450V) are actually better as they provide more durability against spikes. Just ensure the uF value stays the same.
How do I choose between 1.2uF and 1.5uF?
You should always try to match the original value exactly. If the original is faded, check the fan manufacturer's manual. Using a significantly higher uF will make the fan faster but might shorten the motor's life.
