Is 4A enough for my lamp? Yes! A standard LED bulb uses less than 0.1A. Even a bright 100W incandescent bulb only uses about 0.4A at 250V. This 4A switch can easily handle 10 such bulbs at once!

 Can I use this for an electric kettle?No. An electric kettle draws approximately 8A to 13A. Using a 4A switch for a high-wattage heating appliance will cause the switch to melt and creates a fire hazard. Use this for lighting and low-power electronics only.

How do I wire it correctly? Simply cut the "Live" (usually Brown or Red) wire of your cord and secure the two ends into the internal screw terminals. The "Neutral" (Blue or Black) wire typically passes through the side of the housing.
