Can I use this for a 2000W heater? No. Most through-cord switches are rated for 2A to 6A (approx. 500W to 1500W depending on the model). High-wattage heaters pull too much current and can cause the switch to overheat. Always check the wattage of your device before installing!
Is it difficult to wire? It's very straightforward. You strip a small section of the outer insulation, cut the "Hot" (Brown/Red) wire, and secure the two ends into the internal terminals. We always recommend consulting a qualified electrician if you are unsure about AC wiring.
Does it work with 3-core cables? Yes. Most of our models have a "bridge" area for the Neutral and Earth wires to pass through while the switch breaks the Live (Hot) wire.
