The Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) & Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) system is a critical safety upgrade for the ANH20 (2008–2014) and AGH30 (2015–2022). Given the large size of the Alphard and Vellfire, this radar-based system acts as an extra set of eyes, significantly reducing the risk of collisions during lane changes and reversing.
Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM): High-frequency microwave radar sensors installed inside the rear bumper detect vehicles entering your blind spot. A visual warning icon illuminates on the side mirror glass to alert the driver.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA): When reversing out of a parking space, the system detects approaching vehicles from the left or right that are not yet visible in your camera. It provides an audible beep and a flashing icon to prevent side-impact collisions.
Premium Blue Mirror Glass: Replaces your factory side mirrors with specialized Wide-Angle Blue Glass. The blue tint reduces glare from high beams at night, while the wide-angle curvature minimizes physical blind spots.
Integrated LED Signal Running: The mirror glass features built-in Dynamic Sequential LED Turn Signals. When you signal to turn, the arrows on the glass move in a running motion, providing better visibility to vehicles beside you.
Active Lane Change Assist: If you engage your turn signal while a vehicle is detected in your blind spot, the warning icon will flash rapidly and the system will emit an audible "beep" to warn against the lane change.
All-Weather Reliability: Unlike camera-based systems, microwave radar works perfectly in heavy rain, fog, or pitch-black conditions, ensuring consistent protection regardless of the weather in Malaysia.
Non-Destructive Installation: Designed as a vehicle-specific kit for the ANH20 and AGH30. It uses specialized harnesses for a clean integration with the vehicle’s electrical system.
