The Pacman Frog is named after the arcade character due to its incredibly large mouth and round body. This species is a "sit-and-wait" predator that spends most of its time burrowed in the substrate. We offer a spectacular range of morphs including Green, Brown, Camo (Natural), Albino, Strawberry, Apricot (Reds/Oranges), and the rare Samurai Blue and Mutant varieties. They are hardy, colorful, and widely considered the best "pet frog" for beginners.
Notes: They are solitary animals and must be housed alone (cannibalistic). They require a simple setup with moist coco fiber substrate deep enough for burrowing. They have voracious appetites, but overfeeding should be avoided to prevent obesity.
Bite Warning: They have a very strong bite force and may mistake fingers for food. Always use tongs when feeding.
Why Source This Species:
• Morph Variety: The wide selection of colors (Strawberry, Samurai Blue, Mutant) encourages collectors to buy multiple frogs.
• Low Maintenance: They are sedentary "pet rocks" that require minimal space.
• High Demand: The "Mutant" and "Samurai Blue" morphs command premium prices in the exotic market.
