Climatic Conditions
A mild, wetter winter led to early and even budbreak, followed by a dry April with a cold spell—no frost damage thanks to the Gironde estuary.
Cool, damp May delayed vine growth, but flowering remained on schedule.
Stormy mid-June to mid-July increased mildew pressure, though August’s drought then brought beneficial water stress, improving tannic and flavor development.
Despite disease threats at harvest, rapid, attentive picking ensured healthy, optimally mature fruit
