Vastarel (active ingredient: trimetazidine) is indicated as an add-on therapy for the symptomatic treatment of adults with stable angina pectoris.
It is used when patients are inadequately controlled by or intolerant to first-line antianginal therapies.
It helps improve the tolerance to effort and reduce the frequency of angina attacks.
Dosage: Usually, 1 tablet (20 mg) taken three times daily during meals.
For patients with moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance 30–60 mL/min), the dose is usually reduced to 1 tablet twice daily (morning and evening).
Take the tablet with food to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset.
Do not stop treatment abruptly without consulting your doctor.
Not intended for the treatment of acute angina attacks or unstable angina.
Inform your doctor if you experience movement disorders (e.g., tremors, restless leg syndrome).
Follow the prescribed dosage strictly and consult your healthcare provider for any side effects or concerns.
