Probitor 20mg is indicated for:
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Symptomatic treatment and healing of erosive esophagitis.
Peptic Ulcers: Healing of gastric and duodenal ulcers, including those associated with Helicobacter pylori infection.
NSAID-associated Ulcers: Prevention and treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers associated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Management of pathological hypersecretory conditions.
Dyspepsia: Treatment of acid-related dyspepsia.
Acid Aspiration Prophylaxis: Prevention of acid aspiration during general anesthesia.
Dosage: The usual adult dose is 20 mg once daily. Duration of treatment varies depending on the condition being treated:
Duodenal Ulcer: 4 weeks
Gastric Ulcer: 4–8 weeks
GERD: 4–8 weeks
NSAID-associated Ulcers: 4–8 weeks
Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Starting dose of 60 mg daily, adjusted as needed.
Administration: Swallow the capsule whole with a sufficient quantity of water, preferably before meals. Do not chew or crush the capsule.
Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember unless it's almost time for the next dose. Do not double the dose.
Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have any allergies, liver disease, or are taking other medications.
